Florida Green Building Coalition Education focuses on creating opportunities to showcase innovation, improve important skills, enhance professional development, and networking with industry peers. Green building begins with educating ourselves and our communities on the importance of sustainability in Florida’s built environment.

FGBC offers top-notch educational content throughout the year on hot topics and trends across the green building industry. Members and subscribers can access webinars, videos, replays and more through FGBC’s online content library.

Educational opportunities include:

Certifying Agent – Certifying Agent course. Certifying Agents have the ability to evaluate a home with respect to the criteria contained in the Florida Green Home Designation Standard.

Florida Green Professional – Florida Green Professional course. Florida Green Professionals are experts in the FGBC certification program.

Member Spotlight – Every one of our members is unique and so are their stories. The Member Spotlight Webinar takes a behind the scenes look at a FGBC member to showcase their story of who they are, what they do and their contribution to sustainability in the built environment.

FGBC Lunch and Learn – The education program has become integral part of FGBC’s learning culture and is an online event, members and the industry look forward to attending. A wide range of topics encourages growth and knowledge in an interactive setting.

Florida Solar Energy Center – The Florida Solar Energy Center (FSEC) is a long-time education partner and offers FGBC training courses and exams. A research institute of the University of Central Florida, FSEC was created by the Florida Legislature in 1975 to serve as the state’s energy research institute.

YouTube Channel – The channel plays a significant role in making the learning process effective and enriching. A depository for new and archival FGBC educational content including Webinars, presentations, and videos, all are easily accessible by members and subscribers across different mobile devices like smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

Continuing Education – For over two decades, community education has been a primary focus within FGBC’s mission. Continuing-education courses, many offering CEU hours, are designed to fulfill the requirements of a variety of professional associations and trade organizations related to the construction and design industry.
