19 Jan Member News: Hydraloop, Inc. Joins Florida Green Building Coalition
MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Hydraloop, Inc. announced it has become a member of the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC), the leading certifier of green residential and commercial projects, land developments and local governments in the state.
The FGBC certification program rewards homes designed and built to be energy- and resource-efficient and healthier and more durable for the occupants. FGBC “Florida Green” certified homes complete a technically rigorous process that often includes a home energy (HERS) rating and onsite inspection to verify that the home is built to be energy and water efficient, environmentally sound, and a healthier place to live.
Over two decades ago FGBC brought together industry professionals from the construction, government, academic and research communities to create green building standards tailored specifically to Florida.
“We welcome Hydraloop, Inc. to the Florida Green Building Coalition. Their membership and participation are a significant commitment to promoting sustainability in our state and supporting the FGBC mission that began in 2000,” said FGBC President Kachman.
“The Hydraloop mission aligns with the FGBC agenda, and we are eager and excited to support the efforts in Florida for innovation and technology that can empower every homeowner and business to help solve the global water crisis” Fernando Ramirez, Hydraloop, Inc. Managing Director.
FGBC “Florida Green” standards take a scientific approach and developed with state-specific criteria. They address Florida’s hot-humid environment, distinctive topography, unique geology, resiliency, and natural disasters.
